About me
Welcome to ‘Living in Bliss’.
I am a Counsellor and accredited Meditation Teacher. I am passionate about enabling individuals to move through their challenges and the pain of living towards a more content life. I provide counselling on an individual basis and therapeutic meditation sessions on a one-one basis as well as within groups. I love conducting workshops for groups and organisations in meditation and wellness, as well as for self-development and psycho-spiritual purposes. While we are in Covid-19 restrictions, I have transitioned to online services giving me the opportunity to work with people from around the world. This includes live Zoom meditation groups and individual consultations.
In a previous incarnation, I worked in Marketing for almost 30 years. I loved the buzz, the busy-ness of my roles, pulling off projects that may not have seemed possible and more than anything else, my interactions with so many individuals from all walks of life.
In time, my other passion, helping people, became more prominent and I retrained in counselling and meditation teaching.
I have a keen interest in the power of story in our lives and the richness of the cycle of nature around us and I have been running a women’s circle over the last 12 years based on the Celtic Wheel of the year and the cycle of nature.
Our world is now living through the times of the Coronavirus and the Covid-19 pandemic. We have all experienced lock-downs, isolation, loss, curfews and many restrictions that have caught us by surprise and shock. Much of what we have taken for granted for so long, is no more. A return to normality is high on everyone’s list, yet it seems to be out of reach for now; and maybe where ever we land on the other side of the pandemic, will probably be a very different ‘normal’. We mourn the loss of so much and we are missing seeing and being with family and friends.
As we are forced to stay in, limit our movements and to spend more time with ourselves and by ourselves, it is more important than ever to find the little things that bring us joy. Some days it will be very difficult and testing; others not so much. Living in bliss for me, simply means finding bliss in simple everyday things – the perfect cup of coffee, the first ray of sun light streaming through the window on a cold winter’s day, rediscovering a favourite song, a friend calling, and so much more.
I hope you find bliss everyday in many different ways despite any challenges and limitations you may encounter.
